Harbor Mill

ProVia · Premium tier

Harbor Mill is ProVia's vinyl shake and shingle, molded from real cedar so every panel carries a genuine hand-split texture. Most of the time we use it to dress up gables, dormers, and entry surrounds, though it holds its own across a full wall too. Because it is made to coordinate with CedarMAX and Cedar Peaks, you can mix shake accents into a lap or board & batten design and have it all read as one house.

Accessories

The pieces behind and around the siding that make a job watertight and finished. We spec these on every re-side.

House wrap underlayment

House wrap underlayment

A weather-resistant barrier that goes on before the siding, to shed water and cut drafts behind the wall. We use Tyvek, or a low-E wrap when you want a little insulation value in the bargain.

Mounting blocks

Mounting blocks

A trimmed-out block that gives an outlet, a light, or any other fixture a flat surface to sit against, instead of cutting it into the siding. It frames the fixture cleanly and keeps water out where it meets the wall.

Gable vents

Gable vents

Lets the attic breathe out through the peak instead of cooking all summer. Round, octagon, or rectangle, so it can be a plain vent or a bit of detail on the gable.

Soffit

Soffit

The panel that closes in the underside of the eave. Vented where the attic needs airflow, solid where it doesn't, and it is usually the piece that makes an old house look finished again.

Corner posts

Corner posts

Caps the corners of the house and hides the cut ends of every course running into them. Outside posts wrap the corners you see from the road, inside posts handle where two walls meet, like an L-shaped wing or the back of a porch. Either way the color match matters.

Window and door surround

Window and door surround

A deeper trim that frames a window or door and gives the opening some weight. It is the difference between siding that stops at a window and siding that looks built around it.

Finish trim

Finish trim

The channels that catch a cut panel edge and give it somewhere to sit. J-channel runs wherever siding meets a window, a door, or the roofline, so water runs out of it instead of behind the wall. Undersill trim locks down that last course under a sill or a soffit, where the panel has been cut and has no lock left of its own. Skip it and the top row rattles in a wind.
